RDL Introduces ECO Program

For decades, RDL has manufactured high-efficency products for the A/V industry. RDL is expanding their eco-friendly product offering by introducing new energy efficient products and by labeling existing energy efficient products as eco CONTROL, eco STANDBY or eco PASSIVE.

RDL ECO identification labels

RDL ECO identification labels identify energy-saving product characteristics relevant to product selection in an A/V system:

Eco Control

The RDL product incorporates sensing circuitry that activates one or more outputs intended to enable or disable the power consumption of other equipment.

Eco Standby

The RDL product incorporates sensing circuitry that places the product in a standby (sleep) mode when the primary function of the product is not being used. Power consumption is reduced in the standby mode by disabling unused circuitry.

Eco Passive

The RDL product is passive with no provision to connect an external power source.

The ECO labels incorporate color-coded discs for the relevant conditions. Discs displaying multiple colors identify products that offer or switch between multiple conditions.

Black:

Power OFF condition or no power required

Yellow:

Power STANDBY condition

Blue:

Power ON condition
